Tiger Frustrated With Putter

Tiger Woods started off extremely well in the first round of the Open Championship. From the very first hole which he stuck to 10 feet and rolled in the putt he looked like he was a man on a mission. He’s great iron play continued and he found himself four under par after seven holes.

Mainly using irons off the tee he was finding the fairways and consistently hitting the greens. But after his fourth birdie he couldn’t buy a putt, it just wouldn’t go in the hole, good iron shot after good iron shot were finding the target but none were closer than ten feet. They were all good efforts but just wouldn’t drop.

He was getting extremely frustrated and showed it, it really could’ve been an eight under par round, except with a bogey on the 15th it was a three under par round.

The wind is getting up a bit in the afternoon so he won’t be to worried as he is only three behind leader Adam Scott and I can’t see anyone passing that by the end of the day.

It really is shaping up to be a superb tournament with some great players in with a shout.
