Hansen Off To A flyer In Scotland

Anders Hansen was off to a flying start this morning in Inverness just four days after missing out on the Alstom Open de France with a closing 75.

The 41 year old  from Denmark birdied the first four holes on the Scottish Golf Links’ inward half and instantly opened up a three stroke lead over the illustrious field.

Last week Hansen was tied for the lead with a round to go at Le Golf National but did not finish in the top ten and  is still waiting for his first European Tour success since the 2009. Which may not seem like a long time but when you’ve been knocking at the door on a regular basis can become quite frustrating.

Defending champion Luke Donald was out early and had the majority of the crowd following him , Donald is currently in second place place at -4 after 10.

Should be a fascinating four days of golf ahead as the excitement builds for the British Open next week!
